Elements of Wraparound $70 |
Description:
You will learn the key elements that set the foundation for working with children and families partnering with families and guiding a planning process. Topics include:
- Identifying Wraparound Elements at a Practice, Program and System Level.
- Understanding areas of planning.
- Defining Wraparound concepts.
- Understanding need vs. services
- Recognizing the essential elements of Wraparound.
- Getting to know the roles of team members.

Individualized Resource Planning $70 |
Description:
Learn how to use flex funds in a way that promotes independence for a family and not dependence. This training will explain how Wraparound is funded, the standards that support it and how to use as a “last resort.” Topics include:
- Flex fund sources and impacts on family.
- Documenting flex fund expenditures in the Family Plan of Care.
- Low cost/no cost resources.
- Accountability procedures for Lead Wraparound Agencies.
- Specific uses of flex funds.

Facilitating Change Part 1 $70 |
Description:
This training will teach you the skills needed to be a neutral leader in the Wraparound process. You will learn how to orchestrate planning so all parties at the table are invested in the process and in the plan, while keeping the children and families in the forefront. You will also learn how to be a diplomatic mediator and crisis manager while still maintaining a strength-based philosophy. Topics include:
- Understanding the 10 steps of Wraparound.
- The initial contact process.
- Effective communication with families through storytelling.
- Identifying strengths and potential team members.
- How to facilitate a child and family team meeting.
- Managing teams over time.

| The Role of the Parent Partner $70 |
Description:
FOR NON-PARENT PARTNERS
This training is for staff and supervisors who work with Parent Partners. It will clarify the role of the Parent Partners and how to integrate them in a meaningful way. The training will also explore the cultural shift necessary at a public systems level and new ideas for parent professional partnership. Topics include:
- Describing the role of the Parent Partner.
- Clarifying the difference between a Parent Partner and an Advocate.
- Communicating benefits and challenges of collaboration with Parent Partners.
- Challenges in implementing Parent Partners.
- Defining qualifications, recruiting, and training specific to Parent Partners.
- Identify effective support and supervision for Parent Partners.

| Role of the Clinician $70 |
Description:In this half-day session, participants will learn how to understand the clinician role within the Wraparound Team, incorporating Wraparound Principles and Los Angeles County requirements in an intensive experiential training. Topics include:
- Providing an overview of a collaborative model of treatment.
- Increasing understanding of the role of the clinician in Wraparound.
- Presenting how mental health and Wraparound can complement each other.
- Identifying key contributions of the clinician to the Wraparound process.
- Understanding the unique challenges of the Wraparound clinician.
